How young fashion designers at Fashion Show in Paris 2011
Colombo Alliances franchises of the country calls for young fashion designers and applying traditional knowledge in the production of garments, to participate in the contest L’éthique chest chic, which promotes ethical fashion production with the use of materials recycled, natural fibers, forms of traditional and indigenous development, fair trade and environmental sustainability. The winner will participate in the runway at the Ethical Fashion Show in Paris in 2011.
It means that ethical fashion in which their production processes are being respected and promoted fair and decent conditions of work, it supports the freedom of association, collective bargaining rights, fair compensation for all people involved in the production line and fundamental rights regarding wages and working conditions.
The ethical fashion contributes to the development of local communities and encourages the use of processes from raw materials recovery, recycling and production methods that create minimum environmental impact, like the use of biological, biodegradable and natural. Also, allows visibility, preservation and safeguarding of traditional knowledge, specific and local, valuing the cultural, personalities and styles.
